AFReG & the Diaspora
Kingston, Jamaica—One outcome of the fourth African Forum on Religion and Government (AFReG 4) has been the increased level of cooperation between Africans and Africans in the Diaspora. This is evident in the call to action by the Jamaica Christian Diaspora Conference 2018.
This conference, was held October 10 and 11, 2018, and received hundreds of stakeholders in Jamaica’s social and economic development drawn from Churches in Jamaica and in the Diaspora. It also included people from various sectors, interest groups and institutions. The Caribbean is considered one of Africa’s key diaspora regions and the conference facilitated connections with Africa.
AFReG’s primary participation was in the Keynote Speech delivered by Chairman, Prof. Delanyo Adadevoh.
The primary outcome of the Jamaica Christian Diaspora Conference was a Declaration for Reconciliation and Oneness. This document can be downloaded and read by clicking on the link at right.
